As part of the cultural event dedicated to the 11th Francophony Reunion in Bucharest during 27-29 September 2006, Casa de Economii si Consemnatiuni was involved, as partner, in organising the creation workshop and exhibition titled “Les Couleurs de la Francophonie”.
On Saturday, 23 September 2006, 63 plastic artists and 126 students of the “Nicolae Tonitza” Art High School met in the Central Hall of the CEC Palace. Closely watched by the public, the artists proved their skilfulness, by interpreting freely various topics and themes dedicated to francophone values.
The future and the technological innovations of the 21st century, depicted against the background of freedom, solidarity, tolerance and harmony, were transposed by the young artists from “Tonitza” on a canvas of impressive sizes - 1x63 meters.
The exhibition “Les Couleurs de la Francophonie” was inaugurated on Wednesday, 27 September, at the CEC Palace, reuniting outstanding personalities from the cultural and artistic world. Works will be on display in the Central Hall of the CEC Palace throughout 27 September – 7 October 2006. Afterwards, the paintings will be sold during an auction, while the amounts raised will be deposited in a special account for funding an IT project at a school in Romania and also at a school in a developing country.
