On Friday, December 13th, 2013, CEC Bank was awarded the ANEIR Grand Prize for exceptional performance in the exporters’ post-recession period (2009-2013).
The 2013 ANEIR award ceremony, organized in partnership with the National Bank of Romania, rewarded this year’s most active companies in the main export sectors (non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical industry, textile manufacturing, oil and gas, transport and international shipping etc.), as well as the banks that upheld the exporters’ endeavors.
This is the fourth consecutive year that our bank receives an award from the National Association or Romanian Exporters and Importers (ANEIR). In the speech preceding the award, Mr. Radu Gratian Ghetea, CEC Bank President, stated that the prize is an acknowledgement of the bank’s positive results, given that, in 2013, CEC Bank has known an approx. 6.2% increase of lending, against a 3.4% decrease at the level of the banking system. Mr. Ghetea added that the bank would close once again the year with a profit, just like the previous six years; in this period, the share capital has been increased with approx. EUR 112 million, by including the profit.
The ANEIR Grand Prize and other prizes the bank was awarded in 2013 confirm the management’s and its business model’s efficiency, as well as the cohesion and spirit of the entire CEC Bank team, who has applied and will continue to sustain endeavors for the support of the Romanian economy.
