- Letters of bank guarantee are documents issued by the bank, which state that, if the main debtor does not fulfill its contractual obligations on time, to pay the amount expressly indicated in this document, to the beneficiary of the guarantee.
- Letters of bank guarantee are often required in tender procedures as well as in the performance of contracts (eg performance guarantees).
- Letters of guarantee are issued on the basis of guarantees from the debtor, such as: cash collateral, letter of bank counter-guarantee, mortgages on movable property or securities, assignments of debt, suretyship or letter of guarantee issued by a guarantee fund.
The letter of credit is a payment instrument frequently used in international trade that involves the bank's firm commitment to make the payment, based on the fulfillment of certain conditions stipulated in documents transmitted through the banking circuit. Thus, as a buyer, you have the guarantee that the contractual obligations will be respected by the seller (exporter).
Through CEC Bank, you can obtain a limit for the conduct of letters of credit, valid for a maximum period of 12 months - for making withdrawals, with the possibility of extension. The limit is established on the basis of an analysis process, similar to the analysis for granting loans and can be a maximum of 25% of the value of contracts or orders with payment by letter of credit. You can use this limit for multiple operations, in revolving mode.
If you are an importer, the use of the letter of credit will guarantee that the payment will be made only if the documents submitted comply with the terms and conditions of the letter of credit.
If you are an exporter, you can obtain financing based on export receivables generated under export credits with term payment.
Costs: management fee of 0.08% per month (at maximum value) and interest at a level similar to short-term financing.
Funding based on CECs and other receivables
You can get financing based on CECs or other credit securities, with term collection. The ceiling level is established based on an analysis process, similar to the analysis for granting loans and can be a maximum of 25% of turnover. Each time you have a CEC to collect, you can make withdrawals from this ceiling, between 75% and 90% of the value of the credit title, depending on the guarantee structure used to approve the ceiling.
Limit for overnight credits for external receipts
You can get financing based on external receipts to be collected with the currency date of the date of receipt of the SWIFT message. The loan is granted for one bank day, the amounts collected the next day will be used to repay the loan.
