CEC Bank is launching CEC Pay, the Android App through which bank clients can make contactless payments, using NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, directly at vendors.
CEC Pay operates only by connecting CEC Bank Visa cards and also enables fast money transfers both to other CEC Pay users and to cards issued by other banks in Romania. CEC Pay users can customize their payment experience and secure their transactions, directly from the App, by activating the transaction authorization option in the case of payments of a certain value or in the case of several consecutive transactions.
"The technology and needs of our clients are evolving, which is why mobile payments are one of our priorities and we have started with CEC Pay as over 80% of our client portfolio includes users of Android operating system. In the first half of this year we will also launch a similar payment solution for iOS operating system users. We are connected to everything that is happening at the level of new technologies and smart payment and money transfer solutions. After all, banking must be as simple and as accessible as any other online experience" said Bogdan Neacsu, CEO - President of CEC Bank.
To be able to pay by phone, CEC Pay users have to go through three simple steps: download the App from the Google Play Store, add Visa debit or credit cards owned by natural or legal person, and start shopping.
CEC Pay service is free and mobile phone payments are made without charging fees or commissions. Clients can consult the CEC Pay User Guide at www.cec.ro
