CEC Bank continues the digitization and provides its customers with mechanisms of authentication based on biometric element recognition. Thus, starting with 11 July 2018, the Bank’s customers can authenticate themselves in Mobile Banking based on their digital impress stored in their Smartphones.
The Mobile Banking Application enables making intra- and inter-bank payments in Lei and foreign currencies, payment of invoices, foreign currency exchanges, setting up/liquidation of deposits and obtainment of financial information directly and instantaneously from the mobile phones. Another modern functionality of the App is represented by the utility invoice payment through scanning the bar codes with the mobile phone camera, such facility being available for the partners with whom the Bank concluded collection agreements. The Platform enables also to localize all the territorial units and ATMs of the Bank based on the GPS coordinates, rendered available due to the maps provided on the mobile terminals. Through such facilities, any interested person is guided, via the navigation systems, to the nearest territorial unit or ATM of the Bank, being precisely indicated the route to be followed. The App also enables payments of all types of taxes and duties.
The interbank transfers through CEC Bank Mobile Banking benefit of fees reduced by 50% compared to the standard tariff applied in the Bank’s units while the intra-bank transfers are performed free of charges.
"By implementing this new facility in the Mobile Banking Application, the CEC Bank customers shall be able to authenticate themselves easily and securely. Thus, according to the strategy assumed, CEC Bank continues its efforts to digitalize and improve the customer experience. And we will not stop here!", has declared Mr. Radu Gratian Ghetea, President and CEO of CEC Bank.
The Application is available both for Apple (iOS) devices and for Android devices. For more information on CEC Bank Mobile Banking Service, please contact us in any CEC Bank territorial unit or by calling at 0800800848 or by accessing the website www.cec.ro, “Remote Operations” section.
