CEC Bank, the financial institution with the longest tradition and the largest network in Romania, launches the online process of remote contracting of banking services, by introducing the "Welcome!" Package.

Package includes a current account, issuance of a debit card and access to Mobile Banking. The current account and access to Mobile Banking are activated immediately, after the completion of the online registration process, and the card is issued and sent by post to the specified address.

"The expansion of the services and customer base, including by attracting clients from a far, from Romania and from the diaspora is part of the business plan of CEC Bank, agreed with the European Commission in the process of approving the capital increase, under market conditions. The remote opening of accounts, 100% online, with no trips to the bank's counters and no maps, is part of the solution we offer to those for whom time is a precious resource", said Bogdan Neacsu, President CEO of CEC Bank.

To open the account 100% online, access the dedicated page on the website and follow the directions flow to activate the services. The Romanian identity card, a mobile phone or a computer with a video camera and Internet access are required.

Banking services can be accessed by both Romanian and diaspora clients.

In order to remotely open accounts, CEC Bank relies both on artificial intelligence algorithms for the identification of identity documents and facial recognition, but also on a personal verification, performed by the bank's employees, during a short video call. Launching of the remote banking services has involved the development of the IT platform required, using both internal resources and specialized services from external sources, such as data recognition and face recognition solutions. Also, for online registration services, CEC Bank has collaborated with a Romanian start-up, FintechOS.

The administration fees are ZERO for the clients who have a monthly rollover of over 700 lei, otherwise a fee of 5.9 lei / month being applicable.
