During 2-6 October 2007, CEC participated in the 33rd edition of the Bucharest International Technical Fair – TIB 2007. The event was hosted by the Romexpo Exhibition Centre and reunited more than 1,000 participants, spanning a total area of approximately 54,000 sqm.
Against the background of Romania joining the European Union and the development of the mechanical engineering sector, foreign companies from 26 countries accounted for over 47 percent of TIB 2007 exhibitors. The fair itself included several thematic displays: power generation, electrical engineering, electronics and automations, communications and industrial IT, chemistry and petrochemistry, services, publications and media, metallurgy and welding, pumps, compressors, fittings, pneumatic and hydraulic machines and tools, mechanical engineering, transport and storage.
Specialists were welcomed by organisers with a schedule focusing mainly on scientific events coordinated by the Polytechnic University in Bucharest, as well as several launches and presentations of products and companies.
Aside from the Bucharest International Technical Fair, the Exhibition Centre also hosted during 2-6 October the 11th edition of INVENTIKA – International Exhibition of Inventions, Scientific Research and New Technologies and the 2007 Research Exhibition – Romanian Achievements.
