In the context of the COVID-19 epidemiological crisis, CEC Bank, the financial institution with the longest tradition and the largest network in Romania, announces that it is ready to support the deferral for 30 days with regard to the payment of the installments of loans granted to natural persons.
This measure is automatically applied to all clients who, on due date, do not have in the accounts opened with the Bank, the amounts related to the payment of their loan installments and credit limits on cards, without the need for further formalities and applicable to all loans: for housing, for consumption or credit card limits. At the same time, the Bank advises its clients who have access to tele- payment solutions (internet banking and / or mobile banking), to reimburse their installments even during this period, considering that at the next maturity they will have a greater pressure on the budget, having to reimburse the deferred installments as well as the installment due rate for the respective month.
"During this period, we have to show responsibility and solidarity and each one of us can contribute with solutions, voluntarily. Given the current context, we decided to act proactively to support CEC Bank clients who are going through a difficult situation. Thus, CEC Bank has postponed for 30 days the payment of the installments payable by clients - natural persons, hoping that in this way we will contribute, through social distancing measures, to the reduction of the spread of the virus. Depending on the evolution of the situations, we will adjust our measures so that we may come to the aid of our clients" said Bogdan Neacsu, President - CEO of CEC Bank.
As such, our clients - natural persons will be able to pay their installments at any time, within a maximum of 30 days as of the due date. For the 30-day deferral period, no penalties will be applied and the clients will not be reported to the Credit Bureau. The relevant contract term will remain unchanged, so it will not be necessary to sign any addenda.
CEC Bank recommends to all clients that, during this time, they use alternative channels, such as Mobile Banking and Internet Banking. These platforms are providing access to current banking operations, such as transfers to third parties, payment of invoices, deposits and payment of loans. Recently, the bank announced the possibility of tele-opening of accounts, 100% online, including for new customers through the CEC IN service. With regard to the clients - legal entities, CEC Bank is ready to come to the aid of those who face economic difficulties, such as suspending their activity or reducing it in the current context. Communication is essential during this period and that is why the Bank recommends to clients - legal persons to get in touch with their Client Manager if they face problems. The Bank will search for solutions tailored to the businesses impacted and will treat expeditiously each case and situation.
