CEC Bank offers to the employees of the medical institutions that are in the front line in the fight against COVID-19, according to the Order 555/2020 published in the Official Gazette 290 of April 7, 2020, the possibility to refinance their loans of personal needs in lei, under very advantageous conditions: fixed interest rate of 5.5% per year, the lowest on the market at the moment, without other commissions.
Thus, the offer launched by CEC Bank for this type of loans comes with an interest that is almost half compared to the average interest in the banking system for consumer loans from the portfolio - about 10.5%.
CEC Bank intends to support also the employees from the hospitals who are fighting against COVID-19 with an offer of loans for houses with very advantageous costs, to be launched in the near future.
In the case of a personal needs loan of 20,000 lei, repayable in 5 years, the installment the client will pay is 382 lei, compared to 430 lei in the case of a similar loan but for which the average market interest is applied. Amounts up to 90,000 lei can be borrowed in national currency for personal needs, without real estate guarantees, for up to 5 years. The interest rate is 5.5% per year and it is the only cost of the loan. There is no analysis or award commission and no monthly administration fees. Also, during the repayment period, customers can opt for a grace period of 3 months when the main amount is repaid, during which time only the interest will be paid.
Considering the context determined by the new coronavirus and the need to limit travel and contact between people, a simplified grant flow is available for this type of credits, which provides for taking the requests over phone through the Phone Banking service and even the possibility of open accounts online, through the CEC_IN platform, resulting in the applicant travelling to the CEC Bank unit only once, to sign the final contract.
