Payment account change information

Starting with 27.01.2018, the provisions of Law 258/2017 on the comparability of commissions related to payment accounts, change of payment accounts and access to payment accounts with basic services come into force.

Regarding the account change service, it is made available to any client, current account holder, CEC Bank respecting in this sense the provisions of Law no. 258/2017.

The Bank provides account exchange services, between payment accounts held in the same currency, to any consumer who opens or holds a payment account with a payment service provider located in the national territory.

This service applies only if the two banks involved have the status of participants in the Convention on procedures for changing customer payment accounts

The account change service is initiated by the Bank at the consumer's request, in compliance with the provisions of art. 22 of Law 258/2017, these being minimum requirements.

Also, the working method and the deadlines for fulfilling the requests received from the clients are in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, respectively articles 23-28 of Law 258/2017.
